You’ve got questions?

I’ve got answers.

Curious about myofunctional therapy but not sure where to start? You’re in the right place! Below are some of the most common questions I hear from families and adults just like you.

If you don’t see your question here or want to chat more personally, don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m always happy to help you feel confident and informed on your journey to better breathing, sleep, and overall wellness.

  •  Myofunctional therapy is a personalized program of simple exercises and habits designed to retrain the muscles of your face, mouth, and airway to work as they should. It focuses on improving nasal breathing, tongue posture, swallowing, and oral habits — all key to better sleep, clearer speech, balanced facial development, and overall wellness.

  • I work with all ages! For little ones, the Mini Myo program is perfect around ages 4–7, using fun and engaging activities to build awareness. Older kids, teens, and adults benefit from tailored programs designed for their unique needs.

  • My consultation process is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. We’ll talk through your concerns and goals, I’ll explain how therapy works, and together we’ll decide if this is the right path for you. You’ll leave feeling clear, supported, and confident — no strings attached.

  • It depends on each person’s needs. The Mini Myo usually involves six sessions spread over about three months. The full myofunctional therapy program generally runs 6–9 months, starting with appointments every two weeks and spacing out as you gain independence.

  • Yes! I can help identify if a tongue tie is affecting function and provide gentle pre- and post-release therapy to support healing. I also partner closely with local providers who perform tongue tie releases, so you’re always part of a caring team

  • No, not exactly. While both focus on oral function, myofunctional therapy zooms in on breathing, muscle tone, tongue posture, and healthy habits. When needed, I collaborate with speech-language pathologists to provide well-rounded care.

  • Absolutely! Whether you’re nearby in Pendleton, Oregon, or across the country, I offer virtual appointments for maximum flexibility. Getting support from wherever you are is totally possible.

  • Rates vary depending on your personalized program. I’ll clearly explain everything during your consultation. I also offer payment plans and family discounts for siblings receiving treatment together — because care should be accessible and supportive.

  • I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

I offer a 5% discount for full payment upfront by check or cash.

Q: Do you accept Bank transfer (zelle) or Venmo?

  • While I don’t bill insurance directly, after your therapy is complete, I provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
